Welcome to one of the most iconic buildings in Old Oakville, THE GRANARY, is a rare surviving and thriving example of a simple three storey stone warehouse constructed in 1856 for the purpose of handling grain. Horse and wagon drew up to an earthen ramp at the back of the building which led to the third storey. The grain was unloaded into chutes and fell through to storage bins in the second storey. From there a hopper dumped the grain into the hold of a waiting schooner. The Granary is the only building of its type to stand on its original location in Ontario at 105 Robinson Street, in Historic Old Oakville.
Today the Granary stands proudly showing its historical side as well as its state of the art renovated interior home to multiple businesses. The Granary can be used for both commercial and/or converted to residential depending on ones needs.
This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of Oakville history!
